WOW! Time really does fly by. Taking six classes, five days a week, while working and renovating a house for the last three months has consumed my life. This semester may have been the most exhausting yet. Luckily, it was my LAST semester before student teaching this fall 2017! I can't even express how excited I am to finally be student teaching soon! But.....before student teaching in the fall, there is a lot that I have to accomplish this summer!
Let's first jump into what I"ll be spending most of my summer focusing on...research! BUT THE FUN KIND OF RESEARCH. I will be researching Guided Math, which I'm very excited to explore and deepen my understanding of. Guided instruction is an area that I feel very confident in and that I feel is very important to include in elementary classrooms...but we will get into that more later. For now, I'll share with you where I'll be beginning my research....

Blogs, blogs, blogs! Obviously, you must find blogs interesting (being that you've stumbled your way onto my blog). I think that blogs are one of the best ways for teachers around the U.S. to share their unique ideas and teaching methods. So...I decided to begin my exploration of guided math by rummaging through 50 different teacher blogs, in search of ways that guided math has been implemented in elementary classrooms around the U.S. So, for the next few days, if you're looking for me...I'll be absorbed in my computer, reading about ways to introduce guided math, implement guided math daily, differentiating instruction, making sure each child's needs are being met, etc. By the end of the week, my goal is to narrow down these 50 blogs to my top 10! If you're interested in exploring with me, below I listed the blogs that I intend to dive into.
